QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
- Programming experience with Programmable Logic controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and/or Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment:
- Rockwell (AB) PLC and Ladder Logic
- Knowledge of the Variable Frequency Drives and troubleshooting concepts.
- Knowledge of the instrumentation and loop tuning.
- Additional training and experience would be a plus in the following:
- Papermaking
- Robotic and AGV/LGV automated material handling systems
- Honeywell DCS, Experion, and Measurex (Da Vinci) systems
- Valmet DNA
- Industrial networking protocols Ethernet IP, Profibus, DeviceNet, ect.
- Well water treatment
- Recycled fiber
- Boiler operations
- Working knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, Microstation or both.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to demonstrate and communicate expert-level understanding of both business process execution and computer systems organization.
- Ability to stay educated on the latest computer and software technologies, along with multiple specialty vendor product offerings
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
- Ability to conduct training programs and make group presentations
- Ability to plan and organize work activities, manage work time efficiently and work independently
- Must have proven complex analytical skills as well as the ability to develop sound recommendations and solutions
- Ability to partner with managers and employees to positively impact business results
- Demonstrated accountability and responsibility for independent judgment and successful outcomes
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Consistent track record for executing performance objectives and delivering results
- Must maintain a high energy as well as a pleasant and professional demeanor
